The University of Nairobi is the oldest higher education institution of its kind in Kenya. The institution dates back to 1956 but it started operating independently in 1970. It is located in Nairobi Capital and the City County of Nairobi. It has seven separate campuses in different parts of the Nairobi Metropolitan.
